Our next free food giveaway is coming up next Wednesday, June 24 from 2-6pm at the Food Hub (174 Homer Ave). We have shifted from Tuesdays to Wednesdays, and will be starting at 2pm instead of noon, so please note these changes. We will see you there!

Safe to say that Seven Valley's very first Poetry Slam was a success! We had a great group of poets willing to share some beautiful work and help raise funds for our community wellness programs in the process. Thank you to everyone who participated as both performer and audience member, and to the Ake Gallery for hosting our event!

We had a great time at the Dairy Parade yesterday mooooving along in our cow-themed SVHC truck! Mighty Molar, Murray the Toothbrush,the Tooth Fairy, and the SVHC team reminded everyone that "teeth love local milk!" as we distributed approx. 1,500 toothbrushes to the crowd!

We're hiring! SVHC is actively supporting Medicaid clients with food, transportation, and housing through the Medicaid 1115 waiver. The Social Care Navigator position will work closely with the current team to screen clients for eligibility, coordinate delivery of food boxes, and coordinate transportation for eligible clients. At yesterday's food giveaway, we distributed 6,602 pounds of food to 353 households, serving 918 individuals! Community members received bread, cheese, butter, cream cheese, pork sausage, potatoes, eggs, onions, honey, cornbread, milk, maple syrup, flour, oats and yogurt. All the fixings for many delicious breakfasts!

Our May Food Giveaway is in one week - Tuesday, May 26 from noon to 6 pm at our food rescue hub, 174 Homer Ave, Cortland. We'll distribute items for breakfast! No residency or income requirements to attend.
