CAPCO is Cortland County's dedicated Community Action Agency with select services in Chenango & Tompkins counties!

Cortland County Community Action Program, Inc. (CAPCO) is the federally-designated 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 serving all of Cortland County with select program offerings in neighboring Chenango & Tompkins counties. Our main program offerings include: Early Childhood Development (Head Start, Early Head Start & Universal Pre-K), WIC, Energy Services/Weatherization, Family Development, Adult Education, Emergency Assistance, Healthy Families, Volunteer Transportation, and Consumer-Directed In-Home Services. All services are provided within Cortland County with weatherization services also offered in Tompkins County as well as our operation of the Chenango County WIC Clinic in Norwich, NY. CAPCO's mission is to inspire 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞, empower 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, strengthen 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬, and build 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲!

Need a winter coat or cold-weather gear? Join us on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟒𝐭𝐡, from 𝟗:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌 𝐭𝐨 𝟏𝟏:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌 at 𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐂𝐎'𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝟑𝟐 𝐍. 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭, 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝. Winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and other seasonal items for 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 will be available on a 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩-𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚, 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩-𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙙 basis.

Looking to help? We're accepting new or gently used coats and winter accessories. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at our Main Office. Your generosity helps keep local children, families, and individuals warm throughout the winter season.
