New York has started accepting applications for a new $539 million fund intended to help homeowners who fell behind on their mortgage payments and risk losing their homes due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Those who couldn’t make mortgage payments, property taxes, or water and sewer bills because of financial hardships related to the pandemic can apply for government grants of up to $50,000 per household through the state’s new Homeowner Assistance Fund.

State funding is now available to assist landlords whose tenants declined to participate in New York's Emergency Rental Assistance Program:

Governor Hochul announced that $125 million in state funding is now available to help landlords that couldn't participate in the New York State Emergency Rental Assistance Program due to a federal requirement for tenants to participate in the application process.

We are looking for general contractors to perform moderate rehabilitation on single family homes throughout Cortland County under our First Time Homebuyer's Program. Companies must have a minimum of one million dollars in liability insurance and be lead based paint certified. Contractors are paid in drawdowns during construction.
