Veterans Search And Rescue “Serving those who serve our country” By introducing them to a network of resources available, we can help them meet immediate needs and prepare for the future.

Many of our active duty military veterans and their families are not receiving the care and/or benefits they need and have earned. Many times just not being aware of resources or unaware of the process or where to start is all that hinders these veterans and their families from getting connected with veteran organizations, VA, veteran retreats, and church families, etc., in their area. Warriors of

the Cross is a ministry operated by veterans for veterans. Duty stations and orders may change, but the mission of standing beside our brothers and sisters in arms and their families will not change.

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving surrounded by everyone and everything they are thankful for. We seriously can’t believe this sweet girl is still at the shelter. Pepper waited so patiently for her Thanksgiving dinner (a huge shout out to Caitlin who is a previous adopter and donated Thanksgiving meals for all the pups at the shelter). Pepper is a young approximately 6 month old who loves other dogs and even cats. Pepper is a 5 month female Lab mix. She is adorable in every way. She has done wonderful meeting other dogs and she's friendly with the resident cats. 🐕 🐈

Sad to learn of the passing of Retired Col. Robert Stirm, the Vietnam War POW captured in the iconic "Burst of Joy" reunion photo with his family. He was 92.

Shot down over North Vietnam in 1967 while flying an F-105 Thunderbird, he endured 1,966 days in captivity, including at the Hanoi Hilton, where he communicated with fellow prisoner John McCain via tap code.

Released in 1973, he served 25 years in the U.S. Air Force before retiring in 1977. After his military career, he worked in family business and as a corporate pilot.

God bless this remarkable hero forever🙏🏼
