What a great day at Lone Star College-Montgomery! We had the opportunity to talk with the students about the newest drug risks impacting our community and teach the students about Narcan (Naloxone) and how to be prepared to recognize an overdose and potentially save a life. We gave out 120 boxes of Naloxone.

We were honored to spend time with the senior boys from an NCR group in The Woodlands as they focused on their topic of “making good decisions”.

Kim Robbins shared about M-COPE and Stephen’s story, while Greyson Nachimson, from Teen and Family Services, shared his powerful story of recovery from teenage addiction. He also talked about how to use Narcan (Naloxone) and, most importantly, why carrying it can make a difference.

We were happy to provide more than 35 boxes of Narcan - one to carry now and a 2nd to add to their first-aid kits when they head off to college next fall.

These are very important conversations and our hope is that each student left knowing that Narcan is something worth caring, lives are worth protecting, and asking for help is ALWAYS okay.

A dangerous drug - Cychlorphine - is impacting the Austin area and it’s as much as 10x stronger than Fentanyl. If you have a loved one in Austin please make sure they have Narcan (Naloxone) available. You never know when it could save a life.

If you need Narcan, M-COPE can share several locations that we stock in Montgomery County where it is available free to the community.

We’re excited to be presenting to the NCR (National Charity Roundtable) Senior Class this Sunday! 💜

Kimberly Robbins - one of our M-COPE Founders and Greyson Nachimson from Teen and Family Services will be speaking with the students about substance use awareness and the importance of being prepared.

We’ll also provide free Narcan training and give each student Narcan to have now and another dose to take with them to college.

We’ll share 20 of our local Texas Angels represented on The Texas Memorial Walkway®, reminding these students why awareness, prevention and looking out for one another truly matter.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to reach these young men before they begin this next chapter of their lives. 💜
