THANK YOU to everyone that donated to our Tofu and Friends transport.🐶🐱

We’re excited to share that 9 dogs have already been adopted and are living their best lives in the Northeast. 🎉🎉
Some of them were overlooked for months at Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas and were adopted within a few days of arriving at our rescue partners.

We couldn’t make these life changing transports happen without your continued support. 💕🐾

✳️✳️TOFU AND FRIENDS✳️✳️

We need your help! 😬

A few weeks ago Happy Tails of Mcas-TX busted Tofu out of Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas! 🎉 He’s been such a good boy in play group at The Dog Stop - Spring, TX that we were able to find rescue placement for him in the Northeast!💜

So, we started planning a small, simple transport for Tofu and a few friends! 🐶🐾🎾🐱

Well….Tofu and a few friends has turned into Tofu and LOTS of friends. 2️⃣2️⃣ dogs and 6️⃣ cats will be making the trip to the Northeast later this week and the lineup is incredible! 🙌 We’re sending big dogs, black dogs, long term dogs and even a tripod.

We didn’t plan to send this many dogs and we need help covering transport costs. The average cost is $250/dog, but we think it’s more than worth it to give our Texas pups a brand new start.

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to thank everyone that has supported our mission of helping the animals of Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas. 🙏
With YOUR help, Happy Tails of Mcas-TX was able to reach goals we never imagined were possible!🎉🎉
It was a year full of blood, sweat, tears, laughs, celebrations, sleepless nights, lots of Diet Coke and SAVING LIVES. 💕🐾

🌟🌟2025 Highlights🌟🌟

💜Sponsored and coordinated transport of 255 MCAS animals to out of state rescue partners.
💚Provided transitional boarding for 53 dogs waiting for transport or foster vacations.
💜Made donations to rescues on behalf of 18 MCAS dogs to help with medical and transport costs.
💚Took on 3 major medical cases.
💜Held 3 adoption events at Montgomery County Animal Shelter.
💚Sponsored adoption promotions for long term and senior dogs.
💜Provided over 300 martingale collars and leashes for MCAS dogs.
💚Donated over 65 bags of food for the Montgomery County Thanksgiving food drive.

Saving animals, shelter support and community outreach….That’s what its all about. We have a great MCAS team.

Thank u to everyone that donated toys to the animals at Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas! ❤️💚
All the dogs adopted this weekend were able to pick their own toy to take home. It was so much fun. 🧸
We were also able to put new toys in the play yards and provide a large box of toys to the shelter for enrichment. Any remaining toys will be given to future adopters. 🐶🐱

That’s a wrap! The Santa Paws Adoption event sponsored by Happy Tails of Mcas-TX was a great success! ❤️💚
The weekend adoption total was 69, which is double the typical adoption rate!🎉
The staff and volunteers of Montgomery County Animal Shelter worked together to make an amazing, successful event. We’re grateful for each and every one of u! 🙏

Yesterday, Happy Tails of Mcas-TX sent 43 dogs and 4 cats from Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas on transport to the Northeast! 🎉
We’re grateful for our rescue partners that provide our animals with a second chance at an amazing life! ❤️
Special thanks to all of the staff, fosters, and volunteers who have been a part of their journey! Your dedication makes a huge difference. 🙏

Only 2 more sleeps until transport day……

Some lucky Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas pups have been having a blast at The Dog Stop - Spring, TX while they wait for their special day.

Their stay has been full of play time, special treats 🍔, holiday crafts 🎄and lots of TLC. ❤️💚

We’re so grateful for our partners at the Dog Stop and all of the people that have opened their hearts and homes to foster this year. 🙏

Thursday’s going to be a great day! 🎉🎉

Tomorrow is December 1st 😱 and we want to make it our best month of 2025! ❤️💚

We have 40 Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas committed to leave on 3 different transports, including 1 private. Some of the lucky pups are pictured below! 🎉🎉🎉

We’ll finish the month with the Santa Paws adoption event❣️

We’re hoping to help lots of deserving animals find homes for the holidays. 🎄🎁

Happy Tails of Mcas-TX pays an average of $200 per dog we send on transport. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated. Thank u as always for your generosity. 🙏

The Thanksgiving holiday walk at Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas was a great success.

Thank u to Ashley Garcia for providing the incredible Thanksgiving treat stand for the shelter pups and to all the volunteers that showed up to give the dogs some exercise, fresh air and TLC.

It was a special day! 🤎🧡

There’s still time to drop off dog and cat toys. We’ll be collecting them at the shelter through 12/19. 🎄

🎉🎉🎉WE DID IT!! THANK YOU to all that donated. We ordered 65 - 25lb bags of food which will be delivered to the shelter Friday!
Lots of new orders from the Amazon wishlist as well.🙏

This is what the holidays are all about!🎄❤️

Montgomery County has over 600k residents, yet Montgomery County Animal Shelter Texas hasn’t received enough donations for the food drive.😔
They need ATLEAST 50 large bags of dry dog food prior to 11/22 to meet the goal of helping over 100 families in need this holiday season.

If we can raise $1500 with this post Happy Tails of Mcas-TX will purchase all the food and deliver it.
