New Hampshire Women's Foundation

New Hampshire Women's Foundation We invest in opportunity and equality for women & girls in New Hampshire through research, advocacy, education, and grant making.

With nearly 100 years of shared history of advocating for women and girls, the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation was established in late 2014 as a result of a merger between the Women’s Fund of New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Women’s Initiative. The organization continues a commitment of advocacy for women and girls and the advancement of gender equality in the Granite State that was establishe

d over the last century by the Women’s Fund of NH, the NH Women’s Initiative, the Commission on the Status of Women, the Women’s Lobby and Alliance, and the Women’s Policy Institute.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery and is a celebration of freedom and liberation. Equity and Justice are core values of the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation and we believe gender equity is deeply connected to racial equity. Women and girls of color are thought leaders and problem-solvers, identifying challenges and building solutions informed by lived experience. Despite their impact, these leaders, the organizations they run, and the communities they serve remain under-resourced.

We invite you to support organizations across New Hampshire that are led by and serving women and girls of color, including our 2024 and 2025 Women and Girls of Color Fund (WGCF) grantees:

BWINH Collective - BWINH Inc. Positive Street Art Sista Creatives Rising Racial Unity Team Palabras Consulting
O So Beautiful The Women’s Reentry Initiative

We are feeling incredibly inspired by the women who joined us for our full-day Women Run training in Manchester! 🎉

Fifteen women, many running for the first time, joined us to learn skills, hear advice from elected women, and to be in community with other women running for office.

Our nine fantastic panelists gave advice on Canvassing, Fundraising, Social Media, ‘Crafting Your Pitch’, ‘Authenticity and Balance’, ‘Staying True to your Priorities and Values’, and ‘Why Women Should Run… the World!’

Women Run is the only nonpartisan program in the Granite State encouraging and training women to run for office.

When women serve in office, regardless of party, they are more likely to support policies that support women and girls and are more likely to reach across the aisle to reach consensus.

Together, we can change the political landscape in New Hampshire.

🗓️ There’s still time to register for our Women Run full-day training!

🗳️ Women are only 36% of the New Hampshire State Legislature. Not because voters don’t vote for women, but because not enough women run in the first place.

You're ready to run right now, just as you are! The filing period to run for federal, state, and county office is Wednesday, June 3 through Friday, June 12, 2026.

Join us for an in-person, full-day Women Run training on Monday, June 15 in Manchester. Learn skills to help you run, get advice from elected women, and build a community of other women running alongside you. This training will build upon your existing skills and connect you with other women running for office for the first time, too.

✨ NH Gives Starts Today at 5pm✨

During NH Gives, a 24-hour statewide giving campaign, we encourage you to invest in women and girls.

Organizations serving women and girls receive less than 2% of all philanthropic dollars — and organizations serving women and girls of color receive less than .5%. We must do better!

Help us change the FUTURE by investing in Granite State women and girls TODAY. Please consider supporting our current grantees and/or organizations in your community serving women and girls. 🏳️‍🌈 Happy from the New Hampshire Women's Foundation! 🏳️‍🌈

We are proud to stand with our LGBTQIA+ community and fight for gender justice every day.

We honor LGBTQIA+ Granite Staters — past and present — who have fought to secure rights and justice for all, and we will not stand by as these rights are slashed and progress reversed.

We will continue to raise awareness about the disparities LGBTQIA+ youth face in mental health, bullying, and sexual violence. We will continue to advocate for the rights of trans girls who are the target of political attacks, and face harmful policies and systemic barriers that affect their everyday lives. And we will continue to invest in programs and organizations who serve members of the LGBTQIA+ community across New Hampshire.

The Women's Foundation will never stop fighting for equality and opportunity for all Granite State women, girls and marginalized genders. We believe in a New Hampshire where everyone can live with dignity, respect, and equality.

✨Want to show your pride? Shop our Pride merch here: https://nhwomensfoundation.org/store/
