I would like to thank all the volunteers, parade goers, and everybody who took time to build a float to be involved in the parade. Also all the fire departments who showed up to lead the parade. We had a total of 154 entry slots in the parade this year. I think it went off extremely well trying to coordinate 154 entries and I’d like to think the city of Concord for their help all around, the Fire Department, Police Department General Services and Code Enforcement.

Last year 2000 people watched the parade that the TV station put up on their channel.

The lineup is done, division two will be lining up at the DMV and everybody was called to advise them as such, and even though we had a couple of cancellations, we did pick up ground with a few new people, and there will be, excluding the fire engine/rescue division, 111 positions/spots in use this year!

TRAFFIC ADVISORY - CHRISTMAS PARADE
The 71st Annual 2022 Concord NH Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 9:30 a.m.

The parade will form at the NH DOT Building 7 Hazen Drive. It will exit from the driveway, immediately cross over to the Northbound Lane of Hazen Drive, Travel Southerly on Hazen Drive to Loudon Road and travel easterly along Loudon Road and turn right onto Canterbury Rd. The parade will disband in the parking lot of the Capital City Business Center at 70 Pembroke Road.

The parade will delay motorists using Loudon Road both westbound and eastbound. Loudon Road will be closed to all traffic from Canterbury Road to Hazen Drive. Motorists are asked to plan their travel routes accordingly. In past years, we have asked that through traffic utilize 1-393.

Northbound traffic on Airport Road will be allowed to turn west onto Loudon Road and after the parade passes, traffic will be able to cross northerly to Hazen Drive.

Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution when traveling on the Heights and be aware of pedestrians gathering for the parade. Many volunteers and police staff will be posted to assist with traffic issues.

The official Santa float is prepared for the morning. Thank you to all the volunteers who showed up for preparation and construction. Also to Matt Brown’s truck repair from Bow for the trailer.

Cub Scout pack 90 assisted by troop 90 practicing carrying and folding the flag they will be carrying in the parade Saturday.

Two of the state of New Hampshire flags are ready for the Girl Scout and Cub Scout troops/packs who agreed to carry them are ready to go.

We have the first time Parade goer float this year. It will be a very interesting float as they will be entertaining the public on the Internet from their drone that they will be flying above their vehicle. Thank you to Above All Aerial Solutions LLC.🛰
