Congratulations to Wilton-Lyndeborough Middle/High School on being recognized as a Granite State Unified Champion School of Excellence for the 2025–26 school year!

On October 5, the school celebrated this achievement with a banner-raising ceremony during an all-school assembly.

The Granite State Banner School program recognizes schools that go above and beyond to foster inclusive communities where students of all abilities can learn, lead, and belong.

Today is World Mental Health Day.

At Special Olympics New Hampshire, we know that belonging is built through inclusion. The way we welcome, listen to, and support one another can make a difference, even when we may not know what someone else is experiencing.

Our actions can affect the people around us in ways we may not always see. Creating a culture of kindness, respect, and inclusion helps make sure everyone has a place where they feel accepted and supported.

🏅 Happy National Coaches Day!

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible coaches who show up for Special Olympics New Hampshire athletes, encourage them to try something new, celebrate their accomplishments, and help create opportunities to grow both on and off the field.

One of those coaches is Pam Couture, who has spent more than 20 years supporting athletes in the Androscoggin River Athletes program. As she passes her Local Program Coordinator torch to longtime volunteer and athlete parent Kelly Croteau, Pam’s story is a reminder of the lasting impact a coach can have.

To all of our amazing coaches: thank you for everything you do for our athletes and our programs. ❤️

😁 Happy World Smile Day!

We’re celebrating the amazing volunteers behind Special Smiles at this year’s State Games!

Our team of dentists, student volunteers, and SONH’s Special Smiles Clinical Director Matt Celinski helped provide athletes with oral health screenings, education, brushing and flossing instruction, and preventive care.

People with intellectual disabilities often face greater barriers to accessing quality healthcare. Through Healthy Athletes screenings like Special Smiles, Special Olympics helps connect athletes with health education, preventive care, and resources that can support their overall health and well-being. Good oral health can also help athletes feel their best while eating, speaking, sleeping, and participating in the activities they love.

Thank you to our incredible Special Smiles volunteers for helping make healthcare more accessible for our athletes and keeping them healthy and smiling! 💙
