💛🍋 Meet Ellie and Sophia — two young entrepreneurs from Pembroke with the biggest hearts!

On one sunny Saturday, these girls set up a lemonade stand and raised $91 — then donated every single penny to The Friendly Kitchen. 😍

Our Board Chair Beth Ann Barrett had the pleasure of meeting them yesterday.

✨ Look at those shelves! ✨

Today, 9 seniors from St. Paul's School - New Hampshire came together to deep-clean our pantry — and they absolutely delivered. They pulled every single item off the shelves, scrubbed them down, and restocked everything with the oldest best-by dates up front. No small feat when you're moving 300+ cans of tuna! 🐟

They worked as a team, showed up with energy and purpose, and left our pantry better than ever.

We want to send our best wishes to all the seniors graduating this Sunday — best wishes and congratulations! You gave back in a big way before heading off to your next chapter. We're so grateful. 🎓❤️

🥦🚛❤️ When life gives you a truckload of produce and a problem... you call on the BEST community around!

On a Friday night of Memorial Day weekend, something incredible happened. A truck full of fresh produce was unable to make its delivery — and rather than let all of that food go to waste, the amazing team at Grumps Landscape Center stepped up in the biggest way.

When Grumps learned what was happening, they didn't hesitate. They alerted the Friendly Kitchen, opened their doors, and got to work. Yesterday, the team spent three-plus hours unloading an entire truckload of produce — and then showed up AGAIN today to help volunteers load up their trucks and head out.

Thanks to their generosity, and the incredible volunteers who jumped into action, fresh produce made its way to:

Pickup trucks. Volunteers. A landscape yard. A community that refuses to let food go to waste or neighbors go hungry. THIS is what showing up looks like.

In April, our community showed up in a big way—helping us serve thousands of meals to neighbors in need. Here is a snapshot.

🍽️ In-person Meals
We served 3,780 meals, including:
* 1,950 dinners
* 1,332 lunches
* 396 weekend breakfasts
* 102 weekday breakfasts

Our year-over-year impact is powerful, up more than 30% compared to April 2025.

🏠 Family Friendly Meals Program

* 113 volunteer shifts filled 1,996 meals (servings) prepared and distributed to community partners and 3 Concord schools
* An additional 200 servings (50 meals) prepared by CRTC students and shared across 6 local schools
* 545 soups delivered to CAP Senior Centers

Every meal was made possible by donors and volunteers. Thank you 💛

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re especially grateful for the way our community continues to show up.
Through food drives, fundraising events, donation drop-offs, and hands-on help, you’ve kept our pantry shelves stocked and ready for those who rely on us. This collective effort allows us to respond to need—consistently and with care.
