Five Rivers Conservation Trust Nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting open space and farmland across central New Hampshire.

Working closely with a growing number of property owners who care deeply about preserving their land, Five Rivers has been pleased to experience a tremendous surge of activity in recent years. Conservation easements have proven to be a particularly popular and effective tool for ensuring that landscapes are protected over the long term, and our organization has now conserved over 65 properties, totaling over 4000 acres.

🌿 You’re invited to Five Rivers Conservation Trust’s 2026 Annual Celebration!

Join us on Sunday, September 27, from 1:00–4:00 PM at the beautiful 477-acre Janeway Conservation Area in Webster.

Enjoy refreshments under the tent, connect with friends and fellow conservation supporters, and hear about Five Rivers’ recent work. Consulting forester Matthias Nevins will share how thoughtful forest stewardship supports long-term conservation goals, followed by guided walks exploring the property’s trails and forests.

Come celebrate the people, partnerships, and conserved places that make our region so special. We hope to see you there!

🌿 Vernal Pool and Floodplain Walk – April 25 in Loudon 🐸

Join us on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon for a guided walk at the Boisvert & Normand Nature Preserve in Loudon, a Five Rivers conserved property.

Explore managed forests, vernal pools, the Soucook River shoreline, and signs of spring with Wetland Scientists Lee Carbonneau and Sarah Allen and preserve owners Mike Boisvert and Jon Normand We’ll look for wood frog and spotted salamander egg masses, tadpoles, and other vernal pool wildlife while learning why these temporary wetlands are so important.

🎒 Rubber boots, bug spray/net, and binoculars recommended
👥 Limited to 15 participants
