Some good news to share πŸŽ‰ Friends of NH Drug Courts has received a Justice Grant from the New Hampshire Bar Foundation in support of our incentive grants program.

Here is what that means for the people we serve: a repair when the car breaks down, groceries on the table, a utility bill covered, the cost of job training met. These are the everyday moments where recovery is won or lost, and this grant helps us show up for them.

Thank you to the New Hampshire Bar Association for believing in the people working hardest to rebuild their lives.

Last Thursday, we gathered at The Common Man in Concord for our Annual Meeting, and what a night it was.

Manchester Mayor Jay Ruais delivered a keynote that stopped the room, sharing his own recovery story and why drug courts are so close to his heart. We presented the first-ever Bob Gasser Hope Award to Thomas Raffio of Northeast Delta Dental, honoring a partnership that has literally helped participants smile again. We hit our $30,000 Double the Hope Matching Challenge goal, meaning $6,000 in new resources for participants. And we celebrated 820 years of prison sentences that were never served, because 820 people chose recovery instead.

We also said a heartfelt thank you to outgoing Board President Tony Naro and welcomed Lara Saffo as our incoming president.
The best is still ahead. πŸ’›
