We're turning 50, and we want you there to celebrate with us.
On Tuesday, September 9, 2026, Contra Costa Senior Legal Services is throwing a 1950s Sock Hop Birthday Party at The Clubhouse at Boundary Oak in Walnut Creek, and it's shaping up to be a night to remember.

For 50 years, CCSLS has been there for Contra Costa County seniors when life threw the hardest curveballs: eviction notices, financial scams, elder abuse, lost benefits. Five decades of making sure that when our parents, grandparents, and neighbors needed someone in their corner, they had one.
That's worth dancing about.

So put on your saddle shoes, dig out your poodle skirts, and get ready for an evening of great music, good food, classic 1950s flair, and stories that will remind you why this work matters.

It will also address the current threats and challenges to the nonprofit sector, which are especially salient for those organizations who support vulnerable populations; focus on promoting equity, justice, and inclusion; and sustain social justice movements."

I’m proud to highlight another recipient of the District IV Community Impact Fund: Contra Costa Senior Legal Services (CCSLS).

They have served our seniors since 1976, providing free legal services to ensure they are properly represented in matters adversely affecting people over 60, such as physical and economic abuse.

With this fund, CCSLS will launch the county’s first medical-legal partnership, an innovative program that connects seniors’ healthcare with vital legal support. This ensures that disadvantaged seniors receive the justice they deserve.
