🎨✨ Something exciting is taking shape at ALC! ✨🎨

Our up-and-coming Maker Space has a beautiful new mural, brought to life with the help and creativity of our ALC members! 🖌️💙🧡 Members had the opportunity to paint, collaborate, and leave their own mark on a space designed to inspire creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning.

And we’re just getting started! 🛠️💡 As we continue developing our Maker Space, we are seeking monetary donations to help us purchase new equipment, materials, and resources that will give our members even more opportunities to create, learn, and bring their ideas to life.

It’s time for Shari’s Saucy Showdown!

We love seeing our ALC members take their ideas and turn them into something uniquely their own! 💙🧡 Shari’s Saucy Showdown is a multimedia project created by ALC member Shari, bringing together her creativity, personality, and a whole lot of flavor! 🎥🍖

Working with ALC’s Multimedia Department, Shari helped develop her idea from concept to creation, building skills in planning, filming, audio, editing, and content creation along the way. Most importantly, the project gave Shari a space to express herself, explore her interests, and bring her own creative vision to life!

🐠🌊 ALC Takes on San Francisco! 🌉

Our ALC members had an awesome day exploring Aquarium of the Bay and PIER 39! From walking through underwater tunnels and getting an up-close look at incredible marine life to enjoying the sights, shops, and waterfront atmosphere of the Pier, there was plenty to discover.

Community outings like this are all about exploration, connection, independence, and making memories together. 💙 We loved seeing everyone experience San Francisco and all the fun the waterfront has to offer!

🍎 Apple Hill Adventures! 🍏

This past weekend, our ALC members enjoyed a fun-filled trip to Apple Hill! From meeting some furry friends and exploring the local shops to checking out all the delicious treats and handmade goodies, there was plenty to see and experience. 🐮🍎🛍️

We love opportunities like these that bring our members out into the community to explore new places, make memories, and enjoy time together. ❤️

What a fantastic way to wrap up our ALC Summer Picnic! ☀️🌭🍔

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an afternoon filled with delicious hamburgers and hot dogs, creative art activities, exciting park games, and lots of laughter. It was wonderful seeing our members, staff, and community come together to celebrate, connect, and make lasting memories.

Our members enjoyed a magical evening in San Francisco, where they experienced the enchanting Beauty and the Beast musical! 🌹🎭 From the incredible performances to the unforgettable music and storytelling, it was a night full of laughter, wonder, and lasting memories.

To top off the evening, everyone gathered for a delicious dinner at Chili’s, sharing great food, conversation, and plenty of smiles. ❤️ We love creating opportunities for our members to explore the community, experience the arts, and make meaningful memories together!

✨ Imagination came to life at The Walt Disney Family Museum! 🎨🏰

Our Community Connections members enjoyed an incredible Character Design Workshop, where they learned how animators use emotions, shapes, sizes, personalities, and storytelling to create unforgettable characters. A special congratulations to three of our members who bravely volunteered to present their original characters, sharing their names, backstories, and the creative choices behind their designs.

The experience continued with a hands-on Touch Tour, where members explored exclusive 3D models that brought the museum’s stories and animation history to life. It was a magical day filled with creativity, confidence, and inspiration! 💙🧡✨

Creativity is coming to life in our Audio Production group! Shari is hard at work producing her very first original audio recording—from recording her own voice to creating beats, designing sound effects, editing, and mixing every detail herself.

We’re so proud to see her learning new skills, expressing her creativity, and building confidence through multimedia. We can’t wait to hear the finished project!

📸 Member Spotlight: Skylix 🌿✨

At Adaptive Learning Center, our Tailored Day Services supported Sky in our Multimedia Department by discovering their talents, building skills, and fostering creativity, and Skylix is a wonderful example of that in action!

These incredible photos were captured and edited by Skylix, showcasing a creative eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling through photography. From vibrant flowers and breathtaking landscapes to stunning silhouettes and portraits, each image reflects both artistic vision and growing technical skills.

We’re so proud to see Skylix exploring a passion for multimedia while developing valuable creative and professional skills. Keep up the amazing work, we can’t wait to see what you capture next! 📷💙

📸 Celebrating Disability Pride Through Creativity! 🌈🎨

This past weekend, several of our talented members proudly showcased and sold their artwork at the East Bay Innovations Disability Pride Month Art Sale! It was an incredible opportunity for our artists to share their creativity, connect with the community, and celebrate the talents and contributions of people with disabilities.

We’re so proud of each artist who represented the Adaptive Learning Center with confidence, passion, and pride.

A heartfelt thank you to East Bay Innovations for inviting us to be part of this meaningful event and for creating a space where artists with disabilities can shine. Opportunities like these help build a more inclusive community while empowering individuals to share their gifts with the world.
