We’re rocking our new custom Lock It Up campaign stickers as part of MYDAC’s Secure Today, Safe Tomorrow initiative!

Did you know that many youth who misuse prescription medications get them from medicine cabinets at home? Taking a few simple steps can make a big difference:

✔️ Lock up medications
✔️ Keep them out of reach and sight
✔️ Properly dispose of expired or unused medications
✔️ Talk with your family about medication safety

The Monument Youth Drug & Alcohol Coalition (MYDAC) is proud to recognize March as Prescription Drug Awareness Month with partnership of the Concord City Council and Mayor Laura Nakamura.

This proclamation highlights the importance of safe use, storage, and disposal of prescription medications, while bringing attention to the very real risks of misuse and its impact on our community. Through education, prevention, and collaboration, we remain committed to reducing harm and supporting the health and well-being of youth and families across our region.

We thank our community partners and local leaders for standing with us in advancing this important work.
