CUB, founded in 1976, is a nonprofit organization of parents who have lost children to adoption. We welcome all those who have been affected by adoption.

We provide support and education about the life-long impact on all who are separated by adoption. CUB's purposes are providing mutual support for coping with the ongoing challenges of having been separated through adoption, working for adoption reform in law and social policy, preventing unnecessary family separations, and educating the public about the realities and life-long impact of adoption.

For CUB Retreat 26’ attendees this year we have what we call the Landing Pad tomorrow. We reflect, reconnect, and integrate our experience at the retreat together.

Thank you so very much for joining us for the Annual CUB Retreat 26’ in Seattle this year! We had an amazing turnout and we are very grateful for your presence!
We hope it was a truly meaningful experience spending time together and hearing from all our panelists. We would like to thank all our attendees for making the time and effort to show up to the retreat and participate in this year's 50th CUB anniversary! We would also like to thank all of our retreat panelists for sharing your hearts and wisdom, to the CUB Retreat Committee for all the planning efforts, and to all our facilitators and volunteers!

Renee Gelin with SOS-Saving Our Sisters sharing about the adoption industry’s use of coercion and tricks to obtain infants for adoption from vulnerable mothers.
We are welcoming 3 social workers, 1 a birthparent and 2 are adoptees perspectives on the adoption industry and on family preservation with Lisa Elaine Scott, documentary director of All You Have Is Love!

It's retreat week for CUB! We cannot wait to welcome everyone to the CUB Annual Retreat 2026 in Seattle in just a couple days...

We've had an amazing record breaking retreat sign up this year and are so excited to see all our attendees in person soon. Thank you to everyone who donated to our scholarship fund, you have helped 8 new people join us this year:) Safe travels everyone!

We give our retreat attendees the mic on Friday Night to tell a quick, compelling, liberating and powerful 5 minute story!
