A major step forward in women’s health is changing how Polycystic O***y Syndrome is diagnosed and treated! The condition has been renamed polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS) to better reflect its hormonal and metabolic impacts beyond the ovaries, with experts hoping the change will improve awareness, care, and research funding for millions of women.

Southern New Hampshire is gaining faster access to life-saving emergency care with Boston MedFlight's new base at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. Our own Maureen Znoj, Senior Director of HealthForce NH, and Beth Gustafson Wheeler, FHC's Senior Director for Population Health and Equity, had the opportunity to attend AHA's Healthier Together conference which brings together leaders in health care who collaborate to improve health and address disparities in health outcomes. Speakers discussed data driven strategies and innovative approaches to advance person centered care, improve access, strengthen hospital community partnerships and promote collaborative solutions to reducing disparities in health outcomes. The conference provided the opportunity to connect with AHA team members Julie Kim, Sonia Malik, Riley Anderson and Joy Rhoden.
