Charity Newsies Clothing Assistance Program Application Opens June 1st.
The Charity Newsies clothing assistance application will open on Monday, June 1 at 9:00 a.m. Families in need of clothing assistance will be able to visit www.charitynewsies.org to complete the application for clothing assistance beginning on Monday morning, June 1.
Charity Newsies centers its mission on making sure that children in need have clothing for school. Charity Newsies provides brand new clothing to children in need from families:
at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, from Kindergarten through twelfth grade ($64,300 for a family of four);
reside or attend school in Franklin County;
attend in person schools
Each child will receive a brand new clothing package valued at over $150 consisting of six pairs of socks, underwear for the week, a coat, hat, gloves and three shirts and three pants. Should the child attend a school with a dress code, dress code compliant clothing will be provided. Children attending schools with a uniform with a logo will receive a full clothing package along with a voucher to use at a local uniform store for the items requiring a specific logo. Children attending vocational programs will receive assistance for uniforms associated with their vocational programs as well.
