❤️ The difficult choices facing Ohio families are happening right here in our own community.

This story reflects a reality we see every day at NNEMAP Food Pantry.

As the costs of groceries, housing, utilities, and transportation continue to strain household budgets, more of our Columbus neighbors are turning to food assistance to help make ends meet.

Behind every pantry visit is a person or family trying to stretch their resources a little further. For some, that means choosing between groceries and an electric bill. For others, it’s deciding whether to fill the gas tank or purchase enough food for the week.

At NNEMAP, we see these challenges firsthand. And we also see what happens when a community comes together to help.

Through our curbside pantry, home delivery program, and 24/7 refrigerated food lockers, we’re working to ensure our neighbors have reliable, convenient access to nutritious food.

Food insecurity isn’t just a headline. It’s happening in our neighborhoods, and the need for support continues.

What started as a new way to make food access more flexible has now reached an incredible milestone — 10,000 refrigerated locker orders served!
Our lockers give neighbors the freedom to pick up groceries 24/7, making it easier for families balancing work, transportation, health needs, caregiving, and busy schedules to access fresh and nutritious food when it works best for them.
We’re so grateful to the partners, volunteers, donors, and community members who have helped this program grow — and most of all, to the neighbors who trust NNEMAP to be there when they need us. ❤️

September 28th is National Good Neighbor Day, and it’s a reminder of how powerful small acts of kindness can be in strengthening our community. At NNEMAP Food Pantry, we see every day how volunteering, donating, or simply checking in on someone can make a real difference for families facing food insecurity here in Columbus.

NNEMAP was fortunate to receive a wonderful donation from Congregation Agudas Achim, Bexley, Ohio last week for their High Holiday Food Drive. A total of 1550 pounds of shelf stable foods were received. It filled our delivery van twice. Thank you for the congregation's generous gift to our community; and a special shout out to NNEMAP volunteer Phyllis who organized the drive for the second year.
