Girls on the Run of Central Ohio is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and independent council of Girls on the Run International based in Columbus, Ohio.

How are you celebrating International Day of the Girl? Girls on the Run and are teaming up with DICK'S House of Sport to host a sports sampler! This event is open to all and is an opportunity to find comfort and joy in physical activity, while also finding power in the confidence to try something new!

Date: Saturday, October 10th
Time: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: DICK'S House of Sport (1510 Polaris Parkway, Columbus, OH 43240)

Activities Included:
🧗‍♀️ Rock Wall Climbing*
🏌 Golf Simulators with Trackman Technology
⛳️ Putting Green
⚾️ HitTrax Multi-Sport Cage where you can test out new sports like baseball, softball, ice hockey, field hockey, lacrosse, and soccer

Please arrive at 9:45 AM to allow time for the check-in process.
* Must be 6 years or older to climb the rock wall. Please complete waiver in order to climb the rock wall. Parent or guardian must complete waiver for minors prior to event.

Sending an energy award to Rev1 Ventures for donating the use of their space a few of our recent events! Our board of directors met for strategic planning at Rev1 at The Peninsula, and we were able to train 80 coaches at Rev1 Labs, which will allow us to offer programming to more girls in central Ohio!

Our last coach training was a huge success. Thanks to we were able to train 50 coaches in just one day- the largest group we've ever trained at one time! The beautiful space (and delicious snacks) helped our coaches connect, collaborate and feel inspired by the mission!

Coaching changes lives! Not just for the girls, but also for you! At Girls on the Run, anyone can be a coach and make a difference in the lives of girls in their community! We provide coaches with free training and the curriculum guides, and everything they need to start the season! It's not too late to coach this fall!

There’s no one “type” of Girls on the Run coach. 💖 Teachers. Moms. Dads. Runners. Coworkers. College students. Retirees. Neighbors. Friends.

Our coaches come from all walks of life, but they have one thing in common: they believe every girl deserves someone in her corner.

You don’t have to be a runner. You don’t have to have coaching experience. You just have to be ready to show up, cheer loudly, and help girls discover just how strong they already are. ✨
