“Secom was able to bring on three students who started at the career and tech center through the general construction field. We worked with IEC and hired them as low voltage technician apprentices. Between our company, the county and IEC the boys were able to get a couple certifications they were then able to use after graduation. One of the young men stayed with Secom and moved into a fulltime technician role. The other two boys found full time employment as a union electrician and the other in general construction. HCPSS made the process as smooth as possible, especially considering we fast tracked the program in late summer of 2025 in order to onboard the boys as their senior year started.”
