FoodShare South Carolina We believe access to fresh, affordable food should not be limited by where you live or how much you make.

By supporting FoodShare, you’re ensuring that all South Carolinians can feed themselves, their families, and their communities with dignity. FoodShare Columbia's multiple programs have been developed to address food access, food insecurity and nutrition education in our community and across the state. Our Fresh Food Box increases access to affordable fruit and vegetables and our community-based cooking classes provide hands-on instruction. Good Food Markets are community markets that sell high quality, affordable fruits and vegetables. Our goal is to empower communities who lack access to fresh food stores and/or experience barriers in purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables with an opportunity to run a self-sustaining market offering affordable prices and high quality fruits and vegetables.

For countless families across South Carolina, the end of the school year brings a wave of anxiety. When school cafeterias close for the summer, many children lose access to the consistent daily nutrition they need to grow and thrive.

SUN Bucks is a game-changer when it comes to ending summer hunger. This summer, it could help South Carolinian families stretch their grocery budget and provide nutritious meals at home while kids are out of school.
