PlayDate Behavioral Interventions Non-Profit Behavioral Therapy (ABA) Center

PlayDate addresses the deficits related to communication, behavior, and social interactions that commonly hinder people with ASD from being able to fully participate in their community. Children with ASD typically require very specific training in social skills, followed by structured, repeated opportunities to practice those skills, until it becomes a proficient part of their behavior.

Fall is getting a PLAYDATE twist! 💙

We’re so excited to welcome families to our 8th Annual Sensory Friendly Trunk or Treat, a FREE community event designed with kids and families of all abilities in mind!

✨ What’s happening?
🍬 Trunk or Treat
🎨 Crafts
🎃 Pumpkin decorating
🧪 Spooky science
🕷️ Sensory activities
🏃 Games & movement
📸 Photo opportunities
💙 Calm & quiet spaces

And the best part? There’s no “right” way to celebrate! Kids can trick-or-treat, wave, point, use AAC, take a break, enjoy the activities, or simply soak up the fun. No costume? No problem! 💙

Our kiddos had an absolute blast during our outing to Main Event! From games and activities to laughter, cheering each other on, and making memories together, it was a day full of FUN! 💙

🌱✨ Kinda chic to grow it, pick it, and eat it! ✨🌱

Our playground garden is more than just a pretty space. It’s a place where our kiddos can plant, grow, explore, harvest, and enjoy fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers right here at PlayDate. 🍓🥕🌻

Gardening gives children hands-on opportunities to practice sensory skills, fine motor skills, communication, independence, and daily living skills while learning where food comes from. And honestly… watching something you helped grow become your snack? Pretty cool. 😎

We love creating opportunities for learning to happen naturally through play, exploration, and real-world experiences.

So yes… we’re kinda chic.

We’re also kinda growing our own snacks. 😉🌱

We may be wrapping up summer, but we still have plenty of fun memories to share!

One of our favorite Summer Camp community outings was a trip to Skate City for an afternoon of roller skating, laughter, movement, and fun!

Our campers had the opportunity to get out into the community, try something new, practice their skills, cheer each other on, and, of course, make some amazing summer memories along the way. ✨

We didn’t get a chance to share these photos when the fun was happening, so consider this your belated dose of Summer Camp joy! ☀️📸

Back-to-school shopping is officially here, and while you're picking up supplies for your kiddos, we have one little request:

Add an extra pack of markers or crayons to your cart for PlayDate!

Our kiddos use art supplies every day to create, learn, practice skills, express themselves, and have fun. Those extra crayons or markers can make a bigger impact than you might think. 🖍️

It’s a small addition to your shopping cart that can make a BIG difference in our center. 💙

Summer is officially underway at PlayDate! ☀️🎉

Last week, we kicked off our 8th Annual Summer Camp, and we couldn’t be more excited for a season filled with adventure, learning, friendship, and fun! 💙

A very special shoutout goes to our amazing SLP, Emily, for the countless hours she spent planning an incredible summer experience for our clients. Her creativity, dedication, and passion help make these programs so meaningful for the children and families we serve.✨

We’re also excited to share photos from our Dynamic Discoveries Club, now in its 4th year! This week, we enjoyed a magical visit from a magician who wowed us all with an interactive magic show. 🎩

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!
