Due to a pattern of HOT summer weather, we are putting the regularly scheduled Kennesaw Mountain Hike on hiatus until later this year.

🚨🚨ACTION ALERT🚨🚨

Make your voice heard that you want Cobb County to expand its successful microtransit service!

Microtransit is an on-demand service that operates within a "zone" that gives users the ability to get door-to-door transit service or directly connect to their transit network.

This service benefits everyone and the county is in the 30-day process to expand the service in South Cobb into Mableton and create a new zone in North Cobb that includes Acworth and Kennesaw (including KSU!)

There are 3 ways you can share your support:

1. Email [email protected] with your support
2. Attend public meetings (both virtual and in-person)
3. Attend and speak up at the 2 Board of Commissioners meetings: Public Hearing August 11th at 9AM and the Approval Vote August 25th at 7PM

🚌Good news for North Cobb neighbors!

Cobb County has approved a microtransit pilot covering Downtown Acworth, Downtown Kennesaw, and Town Center Mall. That means on-demand rides for just $2.50 — booked through an app, right to your door.

If your house is just outside the proposed zone and you want in, now is your moment. Email your Cobb Commissioner and make your voice heard during the public comment period.

Residents of Pine Mountain Acres and Woodland Park have been showing up to Kennesaw City Council, and they finally got a response...but maybe not the one they were hoping for.

These are some of Kennesaw's older neighborhoods, where city parks are shared community spaces, not private subdivision amenities. For a while now, residents have been raising concerns that their neighborhood park isn't being properly maintained. And like most public comment, it's usually a one way street. A little friendly competition, good beer, and even better company 🍻🧠

Last Thursday, some of our Kennesaw members met up at Horned Owl Brewing for trivia night, proving that building community doesn't always have to happen in a meeting room. Whether we're advocating for a better Cobb or testing our knowledge of random facts, we're always looking for ways to connect with neighbors and strengthen local relationships.

We affectionately call him the History Kid, and Andrew Bramlett brought a good story to Kennesaw City Council.

On October 24, 1932, Eleanor Roosevelt stepped off a campaign train in Kennesaw. She needed a ride to the Atlanta airport and her scheduled pickup hadn't arrived yet, so she caught a lift with journalists from the Atlanta newspaper instead. The moment was captured in a photograph published in the Atlanta Constitution the next morning.

Kennesaw has history. Andrew is making sure people know it.
