Our community is so awesome!

It’s Public Safety Appreciation Week! 💙🚒🚑

This week is a great reminder to recognize the men and women who serve our community every day. Our police officers, firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers and all of the public safety professionals working behind the scenes deserve our appreciation.

Want to show your support? There are so many ways to give back:

💙 Say thank you when you see a first responder in our community.

🍪 Drop off a meal, snacks or treats at your local police or fire station.

✏️ Encourage your kids to make thank you cards for first responders.

🏠 Support local businesses and organizations that give back to public safety.

💙 Donate to organizations that provide resources, training, wellness programs and assistance to public safety personnel and their families.

Most importantly, simply let them know their service is seen and appreciated.

At the Marietta Police Foundation, we’re proud to support the men and women of the Marietta Police Department, not just this week, but all year long.

Thank you to everyone who serves, protects and cares for our community. We appreciate you! 💙

September 26 was National Law Enforcement Su***de Awareness Day.

While the date has passed, the message is too important to let pass with it.

Today, we remember the law enforcement officers we have lost to su***de, including members of our own Marietta Police family. We honor their service, their lives, and the families, friends, and fellow officers who continue to carry their memory.

Behind every badge is a person is a spouse, parent, child, friend, and coworker. The weight of this profession can be heavy, and no officer should ever feel they have to carry it alone.

The Marietta Police Foundation remains committed to supporting officer wellness and mental health and to helping ensure our officers know that asking for help is a sign of strength.

To those we have lost: you are remembered.
To those who are struggling: you are not alone.
And to our officers: you matter, both behind the badge and beyond it.

Congratulations, Detective Megan Haas!

Detective Haas works some of the most heartbreaking and difficult cases that come through the Marietta Police Department. Her work requires compassion, strength, patience, and an incredible commitment to seeking justice for victims and their families.

We are so proud to see her dedication and outstanding work recognized by the Cobb County Law Enforcement Association. Detective Haas is an incredible asset to MPD and to the Marietta community, and this recognition is very well deserved.

Congratulations, Detective Haas, and thank you for the work you do every day!

CONGRATULATIONS Detective Haas!

Major Mixon recognized Detective Hass for her dedication and outstanding performance within our investigative division last week at the Cobb County Law Enforcement Association luncheon.

We are truly fortunate to have amazing officers and detectives that dedicate their time to serving our community!

KUDOS ma’am, and thank you choosing to serve here in Marietta!

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger to help others.

We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency personnel and everyday citizens whose bravery and selflessness were seen in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor their memory, their sacrifice and the families who carry their loss.

We will never forget.
