Blue Skies is a ministry that offers hope through beach camps and mountain getaways to lift families above the clouds of childhood cancer.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, the world goes dark overnight.

A Blue Skies Hope Box is one of the first glimpses of blue sky a family sees.

It’s filled with happy, helpful, and hopeful gifts for the whole family. $350 sends one Hope Box, and on Tuesday, October 20, we’re asking 100 friends to send 100 boxes.

As many along the coast prepare for the incoming hurricane, we’re holding these communities close in our hearts and prayers. 🩵🌊

We’re praying for protection over every family, wisdom for those making difficult decisions, safety for first responders, and peace in the middle of uncertainty.

For anyone feeling anxious or overwhelmed as the storm approaches, may you be reminded that you are not alone. We serve a God who is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)

And just like that, another Blue Skies retreat is underway! We are so excited for a weekend full of fun, family time, new memories, and reminders of the hope we have in Jesus.

Day 30 of 30 Days of Prayer: A prayer for the ministry of Blue Skies 🩵

Today, we’re ending our 30 days of prayer by lifting up our work. 🎗️💛

What a gift this past month of prayer has been! It has deeply impacted us, and we hope it has been a gift to you, too. We pray that these 30 days have encouraged you to keep lifting up the childhood cancer community and reminded you of the power of prayer.

May we continue to be people who pray, serve, give, and point others to Jesus.

We will never stop praying.

Day 29: Faith in Jesus 🎗️💛

Today, our hearts are focused on Jesus and His great love for us.

As we pray for children with cancer and their families, we pray that in the middle of their journey, they would encounter the One who offers a hope that circumstances can’t take away. May they come to know Jesus as their Savior, trust Him as their Father, and find in Him the comfort, strength, and peace they need.

We’re so grateful that God made a way for us to have a personal relationship with Him. Jesus came to earth, fully God and fully human. He showed us how to love and how to live, and then gave His life for us. He died, was buried, and rose again so that we could have life with Him.

Today, we pray for those who already know Jesus- that their faith would grow deeper - and for those who don’t yet know Him, that they would encounter His love.

Jesus, You are our hope. You are our comfort. You are our strength. Help us trust You. 💛🎗️

DAY 28 🤍 | REST & PEACE

Today we’re praying for rest and peace for children with cancer and their families.

For the parents carrying decisions, appointments, treatments, schedules, and the weight of caring for their child. For the nights when sleep feels far away and the days when exhaustion catches up.

We’re asking God to quiet anxious hearts, bring peaceful sleep, and provide both quantity and quality of rest. We’re also praying that friends, family, and community would come alongside these families and help carry the things that feel overwhelming.

Father, meet these families in their weariness. Give them peace on the journey and remind them that they don’t have to carry it all alone. 🤍

Today we’re praying for the emotional and mental strength of children with cancer and their families. 💛🎗️

The childhood cancer journey can bring so many emotions and unexpected ups and downs. May these families feel surrounded by patience, understanding, support, and people who will simply listen.

Day 26 | Praying for Protection 💛🎗️

Today, we’re praying for children with cancer and their families who face extra risks from germs and illness.

Father, please protect these children whose immune systems are weakened by treatment. Keep them safe from illness and anything that could harm their bodies.

Help all of us do our part by practicing good hand hygiene and taking thoughtful steps to protect those who are most vulnerable.

Thank You for the brilliant minds You’ve given us to research, discover, and find answers. We trust You to surround these families with Your protection and care.

Day 25 | Praying for Marriages 🎗️💛

Today, we’re praying for the husbands and wives walking through pediatric cancer alongside their child.

Father, strengthen these marriages. When fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty feel overwhelming, give couples patience and grace for one another. Help them communicate, listen, forgive quickly, and remember they are on the same team.

Rekindle their love. Surround them with people who will encourage them and offer wise counsel. Give them strength to walk through this together and hope for the days ahead.

Thank You for the gift of marriage and family.
