Living in rural Missouri, you really never know what kind of visitors that might show up.

Since summer has began, we’ve had foxes and deer in the yard, and a raccoon jumped out of the dumpster when trash was taken out last week!

We’ll keep specializing in women and babies, but it’s pretty neat to see God’s other creations show up from time to time, too! 🦊🦌🦝

Life skills.
Everyone needs them, but not everyone is taught them.

One of the things our staff prioritizes is providing learning experiences that go beyond just parenting and budgeting.

In the last few weeks, the ladies have learned how to make frosting from scratch and how to prepare and care for floral bouquets.

Just like other healthy habits, these are skills that our women will use for years to come. It’s an honor to watch them grow in every way possible. 🍰💐

Community Partner Spotlight

We are very grateful for Windsor Assembly providing the Family Connection Center each month, which is available to our residents.
This is a family pantry that each resident can receive items to help support themselves and their children with items like diapers, laundry soap, and hygiene products.

Our ladies look forward to attending each month and are grateful for the support your church provides. Thank you, Windsor Assembly!

A note from Stephanie:

I've recently started working more in the evenings, which means I'm getting a different kind of contact with our residents--more personal, day to day kind of contact.
Part of that time is spent at Celebrate Recovery Clinton, MO every Tuesday night. Can I tell you what a blessing that time is every week?!
It's a joy to see our residents interact with the Holy Spirit through worship and through recognizing that dependence on God is a daily need to help them overcome any struggle that might come their way. I have the privilege of snuggling babies while our mamas fellowship with others they can relate to, gain Biblical knowledge in overcoming their addictions of all kinds, and worshipping with raised hands.

This is just a small part of our weekly rhythms that honor God in our ministry. I wanted to provide a reminder that the Holy Spirit is active in all we do, and why our ministry exists as a whole.

To those of you who consistently provide support financially, know that your gift is being used diligently toward sharing the gospel of Christ every single day.
God is working in our residents, both women and their children. Thank you for giving toward the goal of making Christ known to those of all ages.
