“¡No necesitas una capa para ser un héroe! 🦸

Los estudiantes de segundo grado de la Escuela Primaria Scranton demostraron exactamente eso hoy — después de completar un programa de un año con la Asociación Hispana de Oficiales de Policía. Los oficiales les enseñaron valores como la integridad y la valentía, mientras construían una conexión especial con la comunidad.”💙

✨ HPOA Spotlight ✨

We were proud to see one of our own speak at the CMSD Multilingual Family Night, where more than 100 graduating seniors received their Seal of Biliteracy.

As the first fully bilingual Public Information Officer for the Cleveland Division of Police, he shared his personal journey of growing up with English as a second language and overcoming the challenges that came with it. As the son of immigrant parents and a product of Cleveland public schools, his story reminded students that adversity does not define their future , perseverance does.

Despite any hardships and obstacles he may have faced throughout his life, he continues to use his experiences to uplift others and give back to the community whenever and however he can. His journey is a reflection of resilience, representation, service, and pride within our community.

Congratulations to all of the scholars on this incredible achievement!

HPOA proudly highlights Officer J. Colon and his wife, Alexus, on an incredible achievement. Alexus has earned her Master’s degree and passed her state boards, officially stepping into her lifelong calling as a Nurse Practitioner.

This milestone reflects dedication, resilience, and the power of a strong support system. We celebrate not just our members, but the families who stand beside them every step of the way.

Congratulations to Alexus and the Colon family on this well-earned accomplishment!
