Attention CHN residents & family! 🎨

Sherwin-Williams free, professional paint training is back November 9 - 13. This week-long training includes materials and supplies. Participants who complete the full week will receive a professional certification.

Registration deadline is approaching! Sign up by Oct. 19 to secure your spot: bit.ly/CHN-SW.

This training is currently only available to CHN residents and family/friends of residents (with referral). We hope to open this training to the greater community in the future. Thank you!

Looking to buy a house in the next year, but not sure where to begin? 🏡 Start your journey by earning the certificate required for HUD down payment assistance and first-time homebuyer programs and gain the knowledge you need to become a successful long-term homeowner.

CHN offers two FREE options:
🏫 In-Person | Offered one Friday per month at CHN Housing Partners (3711 Chester Ave., Cleveland) from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

CHN Housing Partners is seeking a part-time VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Site Coordinator to help connect Cuyahoga County residents with free tax preparation services.

• Seasonal: December 2026 – June 2027
• $25/hour
• Coordinate volunteers, oversee tax site operations and make a difference in your community!

Experience in volunteer management and basic tax knowledge are a plus. The coordinator will typically work 30 hours per week with additional hours required during peak tax prep season.

McGregor Communities and CHN are pleased to announce that McGregor Landing in Elyria has financially closed! This development will provide 115 homes for residents over the age of 55. Building amenities will include a community room, a community kitchen, laundry facilities, community lounge, outdoor patios and two elevators.

Construction is expected to be completed in the fall of 2027. Applications will open in June 2027. Interested seniors can join the waiting list by calling McGregor at 216-851-8200.

Fall is here! 🍂 And it's time to check a few routine maintenance items off your list to prepare for cooler weather:

🔧 Service your HVAC system annually and change air filters every three months.

🪟 Seal leaks around windows and door frames with weather stripping or caulk to prevent drafts.

💡 Use ceiling fans to help regulate room temperatures as seasons change. Set fans counterclockwise in warm weather to push cool air down and set fans clockwise in the winter to push warm air down.
