Towards Employment Our mission is to empower individuals to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency through employment. We help employers find employees who can do the job.

We champion the potential of every person to succeed in a rewarding career and work to strengthen policies that provide pathways to opportunity for all workers. Since 1976, we have helped over 122,000 people prepare for a career, get a career, keep a career, and move up the career ladder through career readiness training, placement, retention and supportive services provided in a comprehensive and responsive manner. We have a dual customer approach, ensuring our programming for career seekers is informed by industry demand and responsive to hiring needs of local businesses. We help people move forward on their pathway to prosperity.

From our founding in 1976, TE celebrates five decades of empowering job seekers across Cleveland. TE continues to champion the potential of every person to succeed in a rewarding career, built up with the strong foundations of TE's executive leadership. First premiered during TE's Gala on Oct 2, you now can watch this empowering interview between TE's first 3 TE Executive Directors: Soad Mansour, Walter Ginn, and Jill Rizika.

We had a great time celebrating Towards Employment's 50th anniversary at their gala on Friday! This milestone comes as President and CEO Jill Rizika prepares for her retirement after more than two decades of leadership shaping Toward Employment’s growth and impact.

An absolutely incredible evening in Cleveland, Ohio, celebrating 50 years of Towards Employment. I was honored to serve as the announcer and live auctioneer, helping raise funds to support their mission and the people they serve. The ‘Business Casual Through the Decades’ theme was such a fun touch and so much fun to see everyone embrace.

Thank you to Towards Employment for having me and allowing me to be a small part of such a meaningful evening.

And I finally had the perfect excuse to break out the shoulder pads and a vintage watch I bought at an auction a couple years ago!
