I know our kids are older but her love of reading and importance made our kids so happy when they were younger ! She was a true advocate for education ! She will be missed !

Today, we’re remembering Dolly Parton—an extraordinary artist, but also a tireless champion for children, literacy and education.

Yes, Dolly gave us unforgettable music. But her impact reaches far beyond the stage. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, she helped put more than 325 million books into the hands of children around the world, inspiring a love of reading and helping families build a foundation for learning.

Her music may be her legacy, but so are the millions of children who grew up with a book in their hands because of her.

Dolly’s belief in the power of children, books and education will continue to inspire generations to come.
