Yesterday was one of those beautiful days when I know that Jacob was smiling down at us. I received a visit from Jacob's best friend and this beauty. Holding Sadie, somehow felt like I was holding a little piece of Jacob. Thank you Brice and Allan for sharing her with me.

Tonight we will award our third Jacob's Ladder Scholarship. I am beyond humbled to pair our scholarship with the Miss Garner organization. I will be speaking about our support group and scholarship opportunities. Please whisper a little prayer that I can make my angel proud.

Jacob would be so proud to see The Bubba Box project and how it is touching lives! As we left a funeral home yesterday making donations of boxes and presenting our hand molds, I looked up to see a Chick-fil-A training center right next door! Somehow he always reminds me that every second is worth the effort💙

Thank you to the ones that remember his beautiful smile, his funny, sarcastic attitude, or his awful dancing. To the friends that take the time to visit him now, you give me the gift of knowing that he is not forgotten. That gift means more than anything to me. The third Jacob's Ladder scholarship will be awarded in November. This scholarship means that he is still impacting lives, making a difference to others, and giving hope to a future. These were his goals, and they will now forever be mine.

As we try to sort through this world of living without Jacob, we thought today would be a great day to honor his memory with this new charity. As part of Jacob's Ladder, "Bubba Boxes" will now be donated to area funeral homes, hospice houses and hospital emergency departments. These memory boxes and books will help children deal with grief and the loss of their loved ones.
