As I reflect on this year, it has been both hopeful and humbling. I hold onto Isaiah 43:19: “See, I am doing a new thing… I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

Good morning friends! Came across this article and thought it expressed my similar desire to have a nursery in our women's prison in Raleigh. For all the push back, consider the importance of the bond between a mother and her child. Bonding is so important that if broken too many times in a child's young developing life (as can happen in the foster care system), bonding can thereafter never happen--this includes bonding with friends, spouse, one's own children, which is devastating to humanity...and the cycle continues.
