NC FCCLA is seeking business and industry professionals, educational partners, and post-secondary students to serve as volunteers during our STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Event competitions during our annual State Leadership Conference.

Our STAR Event competitions provide middle and high school members the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and abilities to actively identify an issue concerning families, careers, or communities, research the topic, and develop and implement a project to advocate for positive change. Competitors receive recognition for proficiency and achievement in their projects, leadership skills, and career preparation.

Volunteers are critical in our ability to offer a meaningful and relevant competition experience for our members. Volunteers will be needed on Tuesday, March 19 from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Specific times will be provided in the volunteer assignment confirmation email sent to all volunteers prior to the conference. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.

All volunteers who complete this form will be assigned a volunteer position.

Today kicks off National Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America Week (FCCLA), and we want to acknowledge JCPS who make a difference with FCCLA.

FCCLA functions as an integral part of the Family and Consumer Sciences education curriculum. Members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

We applaud the students and their advisors for making a difference in their communities!👏
