HAPPY NATIONAL FIRST RESPONDERS DAY!

Today, the Special Olympics Clarksville Rays want to recognize the incredible men and women who answer the call to serve, protect, and care for our community every single day! 🚓🚒🚑

To our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, and dispatchers THANK YOU!

Your impact reaches far beyond the emergencies you respond to. It's in the relationships you build, the kindness you show, and the difference you make in the lives of those around you.

We are especially grateful for the first responders who continue to show up for our Special Olympics athletes whether it's cheering from the sidelines, volunteering their time, participating in events, or simply taking a moment to make one of our athletes feel seen, valued, and included.

You are more than heroes in uniform. You are teammates, supporters, role models, and friends.

We look forward to continuing to strengthen these relationships and creating even more opportunities to bring our athletes and first responders together!

From our entire Clarksville Rays family, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your HEART!

We are also gathering interest from athletes who would like to participate in speed skating!

❄️ WE NEED YOUR INPUT!

Right now, we are simply gauging interest to help us plan. Filling out the form does not guarantee participation or commit your family to attending.

CAN WE HEAR IT FOR OUR RAYS PARENTS & FAMILIES?!
Because let me tell you… OUR SIDELINES WERE LOUD, PROUD, AND FULL OF RAYS SPIRIT THIS WEEKEND!!!
Our parents understood the assignment!!! From cheering at the top of their lungs to celebrating every touchdown, fitness challange, every play, and every athlete, our Rays cheering section was TOP NOTCH!!!

The energy, the excitement, the team spirit, and the LOVE coming from those sidelines were absolutely incredible!
Our athletes weren't the only ones bringing their A-game today!
One thing I absolutely LOVE about our Rays family is that when one athlete shines, WE ALL CELEBRATE! And our parents showed exactly what that looks like this weekend!
Thank you to every parent, sibling, grandparent, and supporter who showed up, got loud, and made our athletes feel like the SUPERSTARS they are!
We may need to start handing out medals for BEST CHEERING SECTION!
We don't just have an amazing team on the field… WE HAVE AN AMAZING TEAM ON THE SIDELINES TOO!

💙💛 RAYS FAMILY IS SOMETHING SPECIAL!!! 💛💙

Can I brag on our athletes for just a minute?!

As Area Director, one of the biggest things our coaches and I work to teach our athletes is that being a great athlete is about SO much more than winning a game. It's about respect, kindness, teamwork, and SPORTSMANSHIP!

And this weekend, I watched all of that come to life right in front of me.

I watched our athletes help players from opposing teams off the ground. I watched them encourage their opponents, celebrate each other's accomplishments, use their manners, and show respect on and off the field.

THAT is what makes me the proudest.

We expect our athletes to show good sportsmanship, and our coaches work hard to lead by example and teach those values. Watching our athletes put those lessons into action, without being reminded, is one of the most rewarding parts of what I get to do.

The touchdowns were exciting. The games were a blast. The challenges were fun. But the character these athletes showed today? THAT was the biggest WIN of all!
