We were given some items for donation today!

Because I am 33 weeks pregnant I just cannot transport these items to our space on Wilma Rudolph so I will send you the address of where to pickup.

If you are in need of a car seat (expiration of Dec 2026) & stroller combo, booster/ grow with me seat, crib and mattress, please comment below! It is first come first serve in the order of comments.

*Please note that some things do need to be cleaned and I do not have the time to clean them before pickup so I apologize about that.

🍼 ACFS BABY CLOSET APPOINTMENTS FOR OCTOBER ARE OPEN!

We are excited to begin offering scheduled appointments for families to access new or gently used donated baby essentials.

Appointments are limited and must be requested in advance.

Please complete the Baby Closet Request Form to request an appointment.

🧡At this time, we are prioritizing babies who are already born or are within 6 weeks of their due date.

We know preparing for a new baby can be exciting, but also overwhelming and expensive, and we understand that families may need support at different points during pregnancy. 💛 Because our Baby Closet resources are limited, we’re currently focusing on families with the most immediate needs.

If you’re not yet within 6 weeks of your due date, we’d love for you to check back with us as your due date gets closer. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to supporting families in our community. 🫶🏽🧡

💛 A Little Pause, A Lot of Gratitude 💛

After years of pouring into families and helping build Angel’s Closet Family Services from the ground up, I’ll soon be stepping away for a very special reason: My family is preparing to welcome our newest little one! 🍼✨

As many of you know, ACFS is incredibly personal to me. What started as a vision to find and create resources for underrepresented and vulnerable families has grown into a community that I’m so proud to serve.

I’ll be taking maternity leave beginning November 16th as I make space to rest, recover, bond with our newest addition, and spend some much-needed time with my family. 🤎

While I’m away, ACFS will continue its work, but things will be slowing down as the holidays approach. Our programs, community partnerships, events, and resources will continue moving forward, with our amazing volunteers, board members, and community partners helping keep things going.

This season is also a reminder that the people who care for communities need care too. I’m giving myself permission to slow down, rest, and be present for this chapter, and I hope other mothers feel encouraged to do the same.

Thank you to everyone who has supported ACFS, trusted us with your families, volunteered, donated, partnered with us, attended an event, or simply shared our work. I’m incredibly grateful. 💛

Here’s to a new season of rest, birth, family, and new beginnings. 👶🏽✨

Updated Donation Hours!

Tuesdays-Thursdays from the hours of 10am-4pm, donations may be dropped off with the staff at the front desk.

To help us keep donations organized and make distribution easier, we kindly ask that clothing donations be placed in small totes no bigger that 27 gallons.

Reminder🚨:
Please donate items that are:
• CLEAN and gently used or new
• Free of stains, holes, excessive wear, or strong odors
• Appropriate for babies and young children
• Sorted by size when possible

Small totes are especially helpful because they allow us to sort, store, and distribute items more efficiently.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR FAMILIES LIVING WITH AUTISM!

Autism Care Today is an organization that provides financial assistance to families who have a child or family member with autism to help cover certain autism-related expenses.

When can you apply?
September 15 through October 15, 2026.

How much financial assistance can you receive?
Up to $5,000, depending on the family's needs and available funds.

This does not mean every family will receive that amount.

Who can apply?

Families living in the United States who have a family member diagnosed with autism. The organization considers family income. Families earning less than $100,000 per year are given priority, but earning more does not automatically disqualify you.

What can the money be used for?
Some examples include:
* Autism-related therapies and treatments.
* Communication devices and equipment.
* Safety equipment, such as fences or GPS tracking devices.
* Evaluations and other autism-related support.

What expenses are NOT covered?
Rent, electricity bills, vacations, travel, and transportation. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is also not covered.

Important: The money is not given directly to the family. If approved, payment is made directly to the approved service provider or vendor.
