Today we participated in the Bucks County HOG Covered Bridge ride and Poker Run. This year the HOG took the time to remove the bugs from the Ride Planning route software for this ride and the very nice ride route was completed enjoyably and effortlessly. We visited four Bucks County historic covered bridges, as we completed the approximately 75 mile scenic route.

The turnout for Rita's funeral yesterday was wonderful. Bob was overwhelmed with how many club members showed up for him and Rita. He was very appreciative of the guys that showed up with their bikes and led the procession. It really meant a lot to him and I am sure Rita enjoyed hearing the roar of the bikes one last time.

On behalf of the Executive Board, Thank you.

"More Than A Patch"
You proudly wear the Blue Knights® name, and call yourself a sister/brother. But do you stand beside the Club, or leave the work to others?

Do you come out to meetings, to rides and chapter events? Or is your membership card the only sign of your commitment?

Do you wear your colors proudly, With honor and with pride? Or does your vest stay hanging, while the chapter rides?

Do you lend a hand when needed, when there's work that must be done? Or wait until it's over, then question how it was run?

The strength of every chapter is not found in just a few. It comes from brothers and sisters who show up and follow through.

The memories are not made at home, nor the friendships built that way. They're forged on roads and at gatherings, one ride and one meeting at a time each day.

It's easy to criticize from afar, to point out what seems wrong, but the ones who shape the future are the ones who come along.

No one expects perfection, and life can get in the way, but a club is only as strong as the members who choose to stay.

So ask yourself this question, and answer honest and true: Are you simply wearing the title, or are the Blue Knights® wearing you?

Because a patch is more than leather, and membership more than a name. It's showing up, standing together, and helping carry the flame.

-A Blue Knights® Reflection

Today was our 3rd BBQ theme ride of the season, we visited Hog Hollow BBQ in Berwick, PA. From there we visited Bill's Bike Barn in nearby Bloomsbury, PA. This is a 55,000 square-foot facility, with many more collections in addition to the 200 or so motorcycles on display. Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming, despite being really well organized! Today happened to be Bill's 87th birthday. He was on site and we were able to personally wish him a Happy Birthday!

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our Club Quartermaster, Rita Wall. Rita along with her husband Bob, were the heart and soul of our Club for many, many years. Rita's presence at our Club events and rides is going to be sorely missed. We extend our sincerest condolences to the entire Wall family.

Today's Club ride found us destined for Callicoon NY. Members from Blue Knights NY VII joined us for today's ride. We crossed the Delaware River at the Delaware Water Gap and rode PA 402 through Delaware State Forest up to Lake Wallenwaupack, Rt 6 up to Honesdale and then PA 191 up to Equinunk. A right turn onto Callicoon Rd, where we recrossed the Delaware River and landed right in the downtown center of Callicoon. PA 402 and PA 191 were awesome routes!! We had lunch at the Callicoon Brewing Company and then rode NY 97 from Callicoon through the Hawks Nest (we stopped at one of the scenic overlooks briefly, to take in the view) to Port Jervis, NY. NY 97 was a surprise bonus to go with PA 402 and PA 191! What an awesome enjoyable ride, great job by our Road Captain on planning the route!! Not pictured VP Keith and guests Paige and Luke

Today's Club ride was to Jim Thorp, PA and we toured the old 19th Century Carbon County Jailhouse (now a museum), where the legendary Mollie Maguire's awaited their fate with the Jail's Gallows. A very interesting tour. Another fabulous route plotted and led by our Road Captain, Kudos! All 4 of our 2025-26 Polar Bear Grand Tour participants were on this ride and were heard joking about the 51 degree temps at departure time and speculating how many PBGT points they should get since it is now May! 🤣
