We are excited to share that three of our and Hawai'i O SanDiego haumāna will be participating in PIFA’s Miss Pacific Islander of San Diego Pageant this year. We are very proud of each of them, as we've watched them grow up in the clubs and the halau they represent. They exhibit courage, intelligence, and beauty as they move gracefully in their journey through leadership, culture, and community representation.

We warmly invite you to come out and support them at the pageant. Your presence and encouragement will mean so much as they share their voices, talents, and dedication to our Pacific Islander community.

Visit and https://www.pifasandiego.com/events/aloha-in-action-5wtck-j5xbw for details. You may also contact the candidates directly to express your good wishes & purchase physical tickets.

Seeing our youth leaders at the PIFA Lūʻau 2026 was a reminder that our community continues to grow, evolve, and show up. 🌺

“IMUA” means to move forward — and for us, that means carrying our culture, stories, and values forward together. Honoring where we come from while making space for the next generation to stand confidently in who they are.

Pacific Islanders have been part of San Diego for generations, and moments like this show that our presence is strong and rooted, and our young leaders are shining with purpose.

Mahalo for bringing community together once again.

Founded in 1969, the Hui O Hawai'i of San Diego has always been rooted in culture, community, and connection—bringing together generations of Hawai‘i families here in San Diego.

As we rebuild our online presence, we honor our past, celebrate our present, and look forward to growing together for generations to come.

This is our new beginning—but the same aloha lives here.
Mahalo for being part of our journey 💛
