Celebrating SVP Volunteer of the Year, Karen Jacobs!

Since joining the CVPD Senior Volunteer Patrol in 2018, Karen has contributed more than 2,300 hours of dedicated service to our community. This past week, Acting Chief Peak recognized her continued commitment the unit.

SVP volunteers (50+) support our city through commercial foot patrols, vacation house checks, traffic control, vehicle abatement, and community programs, work that strengthens safety every single day.

What many don’t realize is that the Chula Vista Police Foundation helps make this possible, providing uniforms, equipment, and the annual appreciation lunch that honors volunteers like Karen.

When you support CVPF, you support the people who show up for Chula Vista. 💙

🎉🏃‍♀️🚓 Huge congratulations to our Chula Vista PD Baker to Vegas team! Out of 25 incredible teams, we clinched **8th place** in our division! 🎉💪

Competing in the 500 Invitational category, we proudly represented our department of fewer than 500 employees, including two full-time non-sworn employees who gave it their all on the course. 🙌

A massive thank you to our runners, supporters, and the community who made this achievement possible. The teamwork, dedication, and heart that went into this race are what define the true spirit of Chula Vista PD. 💙👏
