These photos were captured during one of our Veterans Fishing Trips at the Ross County Conservation League today , and they truly reflect the heart of what First Capital Ruck 22 is all about.

Every month throughout the summer, we’re honored to provide local Veterans with a chance to spend time outdoors, enjoy a relaxing day of fishing, reconnect with fellow Veterans, and build friendships that last far beyond the shoreline.

🇺🇸🎉 HAPPY 251st BIRTHDAY TO THE UNITED STATES ARMY! 🎉🇺🇸

Today, First Capital Ruck 22 proudly joins our nation in celebrating 251 years of service, sacrifice, courage, and unwavering commitment to freedom.

The United States Army was established on June 14, 1775, when the Second Continental Congress created the Continental Army to defend the American colonies during the Revolutionary War. Led by General George Washington, the Army became America’s first national institution—more than a year before the Declaration of Independence was signed. (Army⁠)

For over two and a half centuries, American Soldiers have answered the call to serve in every major conflict and humanitarian mission, standing as a symbol of strength and resilience for our nation. From the battlefields of the Revolutionary War to today’s global missions, generations of Soldiers have lived by the Army motto:

⭐ THIS WE’LL DEFEND ⭐

While exact historical totals are impossible to calculate, approximately 30 million Soldiers have worn the Army uniform since 1775, serving through wars, peacekeeping missions, disaster responses, and the defense of our nation at home and abroad.

Today we honor every Soldier—past and present—who has taken an oath to defend our Constitution and protect the freedoms we enjoy each day.
