What does it really mean to love your neighbor?

This morning at Great City Church, we returned to the story of the Good Samaritan and discovered that Jesus shifts the question. Instead of merely asking, “Who is my neighbor?” we must ask, “Am I willing to become a neighbor to the person God places in my path?”

Compassion notices. Love stops. Mercy crosses the road.

But knowing the story is not the same as becoming the kind of person who stops.

What happens when loving our neighbor becomes inconvenient, interrupts our plans, or asks something costly from us?

This Sunday, we’ll discover why compassion does more than notice suffering—love crosses the road.

Sunday at 6!

Help kick off Camp Meeting tomorrow, Sunday, July 12! We'll have an Open House at the new SCO District Office at HHRC from 4:00–5:30pm. Tour the new space, connect with our team, enjoy a cookie with us, and help celebrate this exciting new chapter. We look forward to welcoming you - everyone is invited!

The evening service begins at 6:00pm and is Youth Night. There is an ice cream social following the service.

And Monday morning at 10:30am, Pastor Gary Webb will lead us in our morning devotions. Hope to see you there!
