Carver Community Center is growing our childcare team, and we’re looking for people who see this as a calling, not just a job.
Our kids deserve adults who are present, engaged, and excited to help them learn, feel safe, and be themselves. If you naturally get down on the floor to play, love building routines and structure, and believe every child in our community deserves high quality care, we’d love to talk with you.
This role includes:
– Actively supervising and interacting with children (not sitting on your phone)
– Following state and center policies for safety, ratios, and documentation
– Working as part of a team that communicates, shows up, and supports one another
Ideal candidates:
– Are dependable and on time
– Take feedback well and care about doing things the right way
– Have experience with childcare, early learning, or youth programs (or a strong willingness to learn)
We’re also partnering with COAD to support our team in earning their Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, a nationally recognized qualification in early childhood education. Even if you’re new to the field, the coursework you complete for your CDA gives you the training you need to be qualified to work in licensed childcare centers across Ohio.
The CDA helps you deepen your understanding of child development, strengthen your classroom skills, and open doors to better job opportunities, higher pay, and leadership roles in early childhood settings. It’s a way for us to invest in you, while you invest in our kids and community.
Carver is a community hub for kids and families on the south side of Chillicothe, and our childcare staff are a huge part of that mission. If you’re interested in helping us raise the bar for care and learning here, email [email protected] with your resume.

Send us your resume. We'd love to meet you.
