Calling All Ohio 4-H Artists! 🌟🎨

As we celebrate 125 years of Ohio 4-H, we're inviting current Ohio 4-H members to showcase their creativity in the Ohio 4-H 125th Anniversary Art Contest! Create an original piece around the theme"4-H Makes a Difference" and creatively hide the number 125 at least twice in your artwork.

🏆 Grand Prize: Your winning artwork will be professionally displayed in the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center, giving visitors from across Ohio the opportunity to see your creativity and your 4-H story!

✨ Finalists and winners may also be featured in Ohio 4-H donor and outreach materials throughout our 125th anniversary celebration year and recognized through Ohio 4-H promotional efforts.

📅 Entries are due September 15 Open to all currently enrolled Ohio 4-H members 🎨 One entry per member

Ross County 4-H Food and Fashion Board aplication is now open!
Don't forget to submit yours TODAY!
The board is a selective organization that promotes passion, education, and leadership in the Family and Consumer Sciences for 4-H teens. Food and Fashion Board members will build skills in public speaking, event planning, leadership, and project management!
Board Applicants must
1) be 13 years old (as of Jan. 1, 2027)
2) have taken at least 3 FCS 4-H Projects
3) plan to be enrolled in a Ross County 4-H and
4) in an FCS project again in 2027.
Applications will close on September 15 at 11:59 pm

Sounds like a new fun state 4-H opportunity!!

NEW FOR OHIO 4-H!

Ohio 4-H is excited to introduce the Chicken & Turkey Barbecue Contest for senior 4-H members ages 14–18!

📅 October 3, 2026

For our first year, participants will take part in a workshop in the morning and a mock contest in the afternoon to learn the National 4-H Poultry and Egg Conference contest format, understand scoring and expectations, improve food preparation techniques, and put their skills to the test.

🏆 Represent Ohio at Nationals!
Following the 2026 program, one Chicken BBQ participant and one Turkey BBQ participant will be selected to represent Ohio at the National 4-H Poultry and Egg Conference!
National Contest Dates: November 18-19, 2026

The day will include:
- Contest overview and barbecue demonstration
- Mock Chicken & Turkey BBQ Contest
- Judges discussion and feedback
- Winner announcement

Tonight we had the exciting FINAL show
Of the 2026 Ross County Fair, the Farm to Fork Contests!

Thank you to Just Meats and Nutrien Ag Solutions of Bainbridge.

This is one of my favorite contests because it puts agriculture at the fore front of the project and the kids get to hear not just about the show quality of their animal but the market value.
