Ross County Calf Scramble

Ross County Calf Scramble The Ross County Calf Scramble is a long standing tradition rooted in hard work, determination, and community support.

Each year during the Ross Co Fair, local youth step into the arena for a once in a lifetime time opportunity to catch a calf.

From all of us at the Ross County Calf Scramble Committee, we want to send a huge THANK YOU to our first donor for the 2026 Calf Scramble โ€” Old Canal Smoke House!
With the rising cost of cattle, the support from our local businesses and community means more now than ever before. Your donation helps us continue providing opportunities for our youth through the Calf Scramble program.

We truly appreciate your support of the next generation of agriculture in Ross County! ๐Ÿ„โค๏ธ

Good afternoon!

The Ross County Calf Scramble Committee is currently looking for Ross County-raised and born calves for our upcoming program. If you have calves that will weigh around 400 pounds by July, we would be interested in talking with you about purchasing them.

We understand the cattle market is extremely strong right now, and we are working to come up with competitive pricing for local breeders who would like to participate.

If this opportunity interests you, or if you have calves available, please reach out to us. We would love to discuss details with you!

Thank you for supporting local youth and agriculture in Ross County! ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒพ

Happy Motherโ€™s Day from the Ross County Calf Scramble! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿฎ

Today we celebrate all the amazing moms, grandmas, and mother figures who work tirelessly behind the scenes โ€” raising families, supporting agriculture, cheering from the stands, and helping shape the next generation of young leaders.

From early mornings in the barn to late nights at the fairgrounds, your love, sacrifice, and dedication never go unnoticed. Thank you for everything you do for your families, your communities, and the agricultural world.

Wishing you a day filled with love, laughter, and appreciation. โค๏ธ
