GEARS Winter Field Day & POTA is Saturday and Sunday Jan 24th - 25th at the Thermalito Forebay, Oroville.

8AM to Sunset both days.

Talk in will be with the GEARS VHF West Repeater 146.895 MHz, minus offset, PL tone 123.0 Hz.

Bring your own rigs or just come to visit.

Bring your own food and beverages.

The GEARS general meeting is tonight Jan 19th at the Chico Public Library. Doors open at 6pm, meeting at 7pm.

I thank everyone who has paid club dues. Your dues help maintain the GEARS repeaters, help fund club events, activities and help keep amatuer radio alive in the north state. Donations are also welcome.

The GEARS General Meeting is Tonight Nov 17th. We will finalize the nominations for 2026 GEARS officers. We will have a presentation on the GEARS trailer project, and standing waves in radio. Also we will plan the Christmas Party.
