Last night we celebrated our 2026 Chico Kiwanis Key Club Scholarship recipients, along with their advisors, families, and incoming officers from Chico and PV High - complete with a Burger Party generously donated by our good friends at The Madison Bear Garden! 🍔

With over 200 members strong, our Key Clubs at PV & Chico High Schools continue to lead with service, compassion, and heart- showing up for their schools and community in powerful ways.

These students remind us that kindness matters, leadership matters, and that each of us has the power to make a difference.

Congratulations to our scholarship recipients and a huge thank you to ALL our 2026 Key Club members, their faculty advisors Mrs. Gregoire & Mrs. Upton, and their families for uplifting & inspiring these young adults to secure a better future for all! 💙

Proud to share that your Chico Kiwanis Club annual $2,500 donation to support the incredible work being done by Kiwanis Family House through their Changemakers Circle campaign was completed this morning. ❤️

Kiwanis Family House provides a true “home away from home” for families who must travel to Sacramento while their children receive critical medical care at hospitals like UC Davis Children’s Hospital, Shriners Children’s, and the MIND Institute. By offering affordable lodging, meals, transportation assistance, and compassionate support, they help relieve both emotional and financial stress during some of life’s most difficult moments.

What makes this partnership especially meaningful for us in Chico and Butte County is this: families from Butte County are the SECOND LARGEST group of families served by Kiwanis Family House. That means this support directly impacts our neighbors, friends, coworkers, and local families when they need it most.

We are honored to invest in an organization that embodies service, compassion, and community impact in such a powerful way.

🥍 Supporting the Future of Lacrosse in Chico!

The Kiwanis Club of Chico was proud to present a $1,000 donation to Friends of Chico Lacrosse, accepted by Hogan Brown, to support their efforts to bring CIF-sanctioned lacrosse programs to both Chico High School and Pleasant Valley High School.

Friends of Chico Lacrosse is a community-driven group working to build and fund official high school lacrosse programs for both boys and girls in Chico - creating new athletic opportunities for local students and ensuring the strong youth lacrosse pipeline in our community has a path to continue at the high school level.

With youth programs already thriving in our area, establishing CIF teams will allow students to represent their schools, grow the sport locally, and give the next generation of athletes another way to compete, learn teamwork, and build confidence.

👏 Huge thanks to Hogan Brown and the Friends of Chico Lacrosse team for their dedication to expanding opportunities for Chico’s youth.

Little Red Hen has been serving children and adults with developmental disabilities in our community for decades. Their team provides individualized support, education, life-skills development, and inclusive opportunities that empower individuals to reach their fullest potential. They don’t just offer services — they create belonging, independence, and brighter futures for so many local families.
