Be a part of the 530FRC team and apply at ClimateActionCorps.ca.gov to become a Fellow!
Fellows will receive a stipend & education awards.
Applications are open and will be accepted until July 31, 2026.

Volunteer highlight: Julie 🤩 Julie has been volunteering with us for over 3 years 👏

We asked her why she volunteers, and she shared: “Being part of the FRC family is a win-win-win. Food donors are so happy to see their food not go to waste, recipients receive food they greatly need, and volunteers become more connected to their community.”

Our dispatch team will get back to keeping good food on tables on Tuesday, 5/26. 💚

Huge thank you to Chico Velo and Chico State AS Dining & Catering Services for helping make sure no food went to waste after the Wildflower Century Ride! 🌼🚴

We love partnering with event organizers before events even begin to make surplus food donations simple and impactful!

It takes a community to fight hunger, and this is what that looks like! 💚

A big thank you to Lundberg Family Farms for your donation of rice chips and rice cakes! This donation will reach all corners of Butte County and beyond thanks to our partnership with the North State Food Bank and the Yuba Sutter Food Bank. 🌾

It is exciting to see these partners come together to fight hunger in the North State! 👏

We're grateful for this recent donation delivery, made possible through 530 Food Rescue, with generous donations from Lundberg Family Farms and BevMo! Pictured here is Mel, one of our amazing residents, who came by to help hand out donations to neighbors at East of Eaton Apartments.

Last month, the Girl Scouts of Butte County generously donated their surplus Girl Scout cookies, and we had a blast delivering them throughout the community in our new van! 🍪🚐
