Say hello to some new faces and new roles!

Matt Schutz is our Development Director. Simply put, he helping spearhead our fundraising and donor relations to ensure the financial stability of the company.

Maddy Brown has also moved into the role of Literary Manager, where she leads the committee which selects the Next Draft scripts and oversees Avalanche’s dramaturgical efforts.

Anali Saucedo has joined the Avalanche team as our Artist Advocate, a vital position to ensure the safety and comfort of our collaborators.

Melanie Coffey, a member of the ensemble whose play Time is a Color and the Color is Blue was produced by Avalanche as our mainstage production last year, has taken over as our Grants Manager, and will help us secure the financial support we need to bring new work to the stage.

James Kelsey Nelson is new to the Avalanche team as our Marketing Manager, and will help amplify the work we’re doing throughout Chicago and beyond by assisting with messaging, communications, and promotion.

Our creative and cast of El Hilo Del Pastel made Arañitas in rehearsal as we get ready for three upcoming shows on the 24th, 25th and 26th of May at Rivendell Theatre. Tickets are pay-what-you-can on our website.
