Today was the Street Renaming Ceremony for Lori Cannon on what would have been her 75th birthday! Lori was the co-founder of Groceryland, a food pantry for low-income people living with HIV/AIDS and one of our AIDS organization grantees. Groceryland was also a huge help to our Managing Director Christopher Pazdernik when they were new to Chicago and recently diagnosed HIV+. Christopher is pictured here with SOC Board Member Marty Grochala as well as a photo of Lori from the 40th Anniversary of SOC's Biscotto-Miller Fund last June, shortly before her passing. May her legacy inspire us all!

Our condolences to to the entire Chicago theatre community on the passing of actor Matt DeCaro, also a longtime supporter of Season of Concern. He will be greatly missed.

The longtime Chicago actor Matt DeCaro died early Saturday at home. He worked across the decades at most major Chicago theaters and appeared in movies and TV series.
