Learning is happening everywhere at .

From packed educational sessions and thought-provoking conversations to introductions in the hallway that turn into exchanging ideas, ASHRM26 is bringing healthcare risk professionals together to learn from experts and, just as importantly, from each other.

We started with a warm welcome from ASHRM President Katie Du Fresne, recognition of this year’s Presidential Citation Award winner Rebecca Cady, Esq., BSN, CPHRM, DFASHRM, FACHE and an inspiring keynote from Paul Epstein that set the tone for the days ahead.

And the excitement started before the opening session. We had to bring in EXTRA CHAIRS for our New & First-Time Attendee Orientation! 👏 Seeing so many new faces joining the healthcare risk management community is a reminder that ASHRM continues to grow, connect and create space for the next generation of risk professionals.

As Katie shared during her remarks:

“From the brand new risk professional who just clipped on their name tag yesterday, to the seasoned risk professional who has been opening that office door for 30 years, we all have something to give and something to learn.”

That’s what is all about: learning from one another, sharing our experiences and strengthening the community that helps make healthcare safer.

And we’re just getting started.
