Celebrating a true trailblazer this Black History Month! 🌟♥️💚🖤

Today, we’re honoring Lottie W. Cole, RRA a visionary leader who made history as the first Black president of AHIMA (1974-1975).

During her time as the Chief Medical Records Administrator at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Lottie didn’t just manage data: she broke barriers. Her commitment to excellence and leadership paved the way for diversity and inclusion across the entire health information management field.

At CAHIMA, we are inspired by her legacy and remain committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive community for all HIM professionals in the Chicago area.
